Nordatec Backup is used by home automation systems installed by Nordatec to store backups of their own configuration and history in the property owner's Google Drive.
The app asks for the Google Drive permission drive.file only. This lets it see and change only the files it has created itself. It cannot read, list or change any other file in your Drive, your email, contacts or any other Google data.
Each night the installed system uploads an encrypted backup (database and configuration) into a single folder it created in your Drive, and deletes its own older backups. The backups are encrypted before they leave the system; Google and anyone without the encryption key see only unreadable data.
None of your Google data is sent to Nordatec or to any third party. The access token stays on the installed system in your property and is used only to upload and remove its own backup files.
You can remove the app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Backups then stop; the files already in your Drive stay there until you delete them.
